From the biography of Rav Shmuel Auerbach, ztz"l, pages 159-160: He (Rav Shmuel) was very exacting about their placement (of pictures in his Sukka). He would direct me to put two pictures on the Mizrach wall behind his seat: One of the Chazon Ish and another of his father, Rav Shlomo Zalman, with the former situated slightly above the latter. The photo of the Chazon Ish was one taken not long after he'd arrived in Eretz Yisroel, and Reb Shmuel was very moved by it. He'd say that every time he saw it, it caused him to think, "To see how the Chazon Ish looked at seventy is one thing, because can you say, 'Nu, shoyn, he's already a Reb Akiva Eiger.' But to behold him in his early years, when he was in the very thick of soaring upward in Torah and avodas Hashem— that's something I can also relate to. And it leads me to ask myself, 'So where am I holding...?"' He told Rav Mordechai Yaffe that when he first saw that photo of a younger Chazon Ish, "kim'at porchah nishmasi —my soul nearly left me. "
